Gina Angelone received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in 1985 with a two-year grant at the University of Paris to complete her undergraduate thesis. In Paris, Gina studied under major writer/philosophers Hélène Cixous, Julia Kristeva and Milan Kundera. After graduating, Gina moved to Southeast Asia and spent a year working for the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. She then returned to France and apprenticed for a BBC director before finally settling in New York City where she lived and worked for the next 23 years.
