We are a fast paced, rapidly growing team that creates award winning shows and feature length productions targeting gamers, anime fans and a wide range of others for both it’s own web platforms and others including YouTube, Netflix, Go90 and CrunchyRoll. Rooster Teeth Games is looking for a talented Art Generalist to help with a variety of art assets in our upcoming game titles. A strong candidate will be a self-starter, have experience in all areas of game creation, and have strong knowledge of modern game art tools.

* Design, Model, UV, texture, and light game-ready 3D assets (high and low poly)
* Create concept art/designs to help in the construction of 3D game assets
* Create shaders/materials for use on a wide variety of 3D game assets
* Create VFX assets/simulations using Unreal (or other FX based tools)
* Create UI assets for menus, HUD, iconography, etc with a strong emphasis on UX design
* Work with the Art Director to maintain a consistent vision across a multitude of game assets

* 3+ years professional game development experience in an Artist role
* Proficient in all areas of game asset creation (model, uv, texture, light, VFX, UI, concept design, etc.)
* Strong working knowledge of modern game art tools (Unreal, Maya, Zbrush, Substance, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc)
* Strong working knowledge of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) tools and techniques
* Strong working knowledge of modular asset workflows (for world building)
* Strong portfolio demonstrating modeling, texturing, lighting, UI, VFX, and concept art for games
* Shipped at least 1 game title, from pre-production to final release (preferably a AAA console or PC title)
* Working knowledge of Perforce (or source control equivalent)
* Comfortable iterating on ideas using rapid prototyping techniques
* Positive team-oriented attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proactive, creative-thinker, and self-motivated (comfortable working without direct supervision)
* Must have a sense of humor
* Must be comfortable working in a small, highly collaborative team
* Must be able to accept critique of your work and have the ability to embrace change
