I am a singer/songwriter based London, promoting my second album, 'Up Before Dark'. My music is in the folk-rock/country-rock style and I have a backing band called The Émigrés.

Employment History

1993 - 1995 Formed and played with indie group 'The Salad Days' in Glasgow. Group included member of 'The Fratelli's' and gigs included the 'Ten Day Weekend' Festival at The Arches, Glasgow.

1996 - 1998 Formed pop/rock group 'Red Shelley' playing primarily on the Scottish University Circuit.

1998 - 2000 Formed three piece folk/rock combo 'The UnAmericans' based in South West Scotland.

2000 Evening class guitar tutor, Dumfries & Galloway Council.

2000 'Best Newcomer' Glasgow Songwriter's Club.

2001 Live Session on BBC Radio Scotland'. 'Beautiful....Sounds just great' Mary Ann Kennedy, BBC Radio Scotland.
Regular guest on LTV's 'Live At Six' Show.

2002 Toured across Scotland playing, The Edinburgh Fringe among other venues.

2003 Recorded E.P. Just As I Am 'This is great' David Scott, BBC Radio Scotland. Played Acoustic Affair, East Kilbride Arts Centre amongst other venues.

2004 - 2007 Based in Cumbria, opened for Boo Hewerdine, Michael Chapman, Kirsty McGhie, Kieran Halpin, played Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

2005 - Joined Burnsong Collective a group of twelve Scottish Songwriters promoting songwriting among young people.

2007 Released album 'Songs That Chose Me' on Loose Records - 'Brings to Mind Elvis Costello' - Rock N Reel. Played solo/acoustically to promote this album. Facilitated a songwriting workshop project with two secondary schools for Carlisle Festival of Nations.

2008 - 2009 Toured Scotland and North of England solo acoustically

2009 - Present Based in London formed backing band, The Émigrés playing venues across London

2013 - Released seond abum, Up Before Dark, and did an album launch at The Troubadour.

2014 - 'Up Before Dark' receives radio play and favourable reviews in 'he Crack'and Rock n' Reel magazine. Headline acoustic show played at The Troubadour.

1983-1989 Annan Academy, Dumfriesshire. Nine 'O' Grades, Six 'H' Grades.

2005 Trained as songwriting workshop facilitator by Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association.
