Belmont or MTSU Intern Wanted For Record Label/ Artist Management
Description of Organization: We are an Entertainment Company on Music Row led by
Nashville veterans J. Gary Smith and John Smith. (Publishers, Producers, and Managers).
The Artist Roster currently includes Country artists - Mark Cooke and Steve Holy, and Rock band - Goodbye June.
Description of Intern Duties: During this internship the student will provide general assistance including administrative duties, production duties, and online assistance to the label and management team. The intern will act as an assistant to the label answering phone calls, preparing mailings, updating social media websites for the artists, updating artist calendars, and managing online presence for the artist roster. The intern will assist with various daily tasks, assist with special events if available, and run errands if needed.
The Ideal candidate will be well aware of social media networking and marketing, be very flexible in executive duties including assisting both the artists and the label, and have experience with Word, Excel, online calendars, HTML, Photoshop, and general social networking.

With more than 50 years combined experience in the recording business, J. Gary Smith and John Smith, both former artists themselves, have developed some of the industry’s finest talent. Artists including Andy Griggs, Darryl Singletary, Lonestar and Mindy McCready worked to secure recording contracts with their guidance. In 2000, J. Gary Smith took Andy Griggs to #1 twice as manager and producer of his career launching Gold Album "You Won't Ever Be Lonely" which yielded four top 10 records and a #1 video. J. Gary and John have worked with a remarkable list of names including legends Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, Lonestar, John Rich, Jerry Reed, Kevin Sharp, and many more.
