Media Services Technician
About the job
University media services seeks an experienced audiovisual/multimedia technician. This is a full-time position with generous employee benefits. Our technician will be relied upon to provide technical support, faculty/staff/student training, installation, and maintenance for a wide variety of multimedia technology (AV equipment as well as related computer hardware and software) both in an out of the classroom, in addition to live sound engineering, video support and recording of university events. Technicians will also help supervise and train Media Services work study student employees. Technicians may be required to work up to four evenings per week, as well as some weekends.
Requirements: Two years experience with AV technology (including installation), live sound reinforcement, music/sound recording/editing, video recording/editing. Computer expertise and the ability to move or lift 50 pounds are also required. Outstanding customer service and communication skills are a must. Experience providing technology support in an educational or professional setting as well as a college degree (or comparable technical course work) are preferred.
