Assistant Director for Music School

Seeking an Assistant Director for our music school. Position to begin July 15, 2013.
The position reports to the Director of the Music School and works closely with music school faculty.
The Assistant Director is responsible for a large portion of the clerical administration of the music school including but not limited to: billing, payroll, student registration, database maintenance, ordering supplies, coordinating with school facilities, office equipment maintenance and scheduling. Additionally, the position requires a strong background in music.
The Assistant Director works closely with the Director in the handling of student placements and recruitment for community music students, as well as helps to ensure that the academic standards of the performing arts department of our school are maintained for all music students.
The position requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently and cooperatively with faculty. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, patient and a team player.
Hours are 10am – 6pm Monday through Friday, with some weekend and evening availability required.
