POSITION OBJECTIVE: Help assure Marketing and Promotion department makes its full contribution to the successful accomplishment of our strategic plan and our Corporation's mission, commitments and values by results-oriented Marketing, promotion and brand imaging.
College degree in communication, marketing, advertising, public relations, business, related field, or equivalent.
Two (2) years successful experience working in marketing/promotion or production/advertising and/or public relations or equivalent, with demonstrated ability and flexibility to perform the following:
a) The generation of ideas and concepts for News and Station promotion efforts;
b) Ability to be creative, aggressive, and energetic in executing results-oriented
marketing strategies, promotional campaigns that tie into current marketing
research data and area designed to appeal to targeted viewers;
c) Ability to create and implement marketing and promotional concepts that utilize
in-house production capabilities to reflect maximum quality and professionalism;
d) Execute projects within budget guidelines and established deadlines;
e) Develop and maintain excellent business relationships with community contacts,
outside professional services, and co-workers.
f) Adobe Premier editing experience.
g) Video Photography experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:
Produce, write, edit, shoot, and direct image and promotional spots, campaigns, and program support elements with an emphasis on news topical promotion, etc. as assigned.
Work closely with VP of Marketing and our Promotions Manager.
Manage promotional logs.
Research, develop and produce projects as assigned. Monitor the financial expenditures of assigned projects.
Serve as a producer for "non-air" marketing, Social Media Projects, Contracted projects (Megaplex Theaters, etc.) coordination, and other promotion projects as assigned.
Effectively interact with other members of the company to accomplish group objectives.
Coordinate production elements with appropriate department, production and engineering personnel.
Work closely with the promotion producer's team to coordinate scheduling on projects, including news, brand and other special projects.
This position should be forward thinking, planning out for future projects, timelines and needs for our Image Campaigns.
Take the lead, at the direction of the VP of Marketing, on image campaigns working closely with the the Brand team to ensure a successful promotional campaign.
Work closely with the creative and art directors on final production and edit to ensure the consistent look and feel of all station spots.
This position should be consistently working on, and improving, the look of our image. Working closely with the imaging team for a collaborative effort and consistent look.
Follow-through on all assigned projects and assure both promotional and operational aspects of projects are effectively completed by established deadlines.
May be assigned to work on any department projects including those already on the calendar or any others that may be developed per company needs

Work closely with the Community Relations Manager to assist in development of our image as it relates to any and all community relations campaigns. This may include support in shooting and editing spots, documentaries or long-form video including, but not limited to Jr. Weather Specialists (tours, scheduling, curriculum, etc.), trade shows, sales events, and other outside station promotional opportunities, currently scheduled, or that maybe scheduled.
Retain valid driver's license and proven ability to safely drive company vehicle or personal vehicle (as case may be) without exposing the company to serious liability risks.
