About the Job

Position Objectives:

• To manage audio/visual (A/V) production tasks in order to facilitate video edits and shoots

• To act as a resource for activists, the media, and staff members of the company and its affiliates

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by the company and its affiliates:

o Oversee the creation and timely completion of video edits and shoots for a wide range of campaigns
o Perform quality control for all videos and approve videos for external distribution
o Use independent judgment and discretion to coordinate video and photo shoots
o Ensure proper and legal use of photos and videos

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of and function as the point of contact for the A/V Department in the L.A. office

• Generate and maintain departmental standard operating procedures

• Delegate and assign tasks to video editors and assistants

• Monitor loans of video and photo equipment and maintain an inventory of that equipment

• Ensure that A/V equipment is properly maintained

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Degree in a related field or experience with nonlinear video-editing software (e.g., Final Cut Pro) and image-editing software (e.g., Photoshop)

• Minimum of two years of project management experience

• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Proven ability to maintain discretion when working with confidential material

• Demonstrated ability to deal professionally with staff members, clients, and the public

• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines in a professional manner
