Quick Tips: “How to Find Friends and Influential People”

Welcome to a new regular feature in the Media Match forum - Quick tips on helping our users make the most of their profile and utilize all the available tools here on the website.

In this post we’ll show you how to search for people you may know, past colleagues, or possible future collaborators using the Media Match Friend Finding tool.

Firstly, log into Media Match as per usual.

Next, click on “My Profile”  via the top toolbar, and then click “Friends” from the right hand menu, and then click on the “Search People” tab at the top of your profile. (fig. 1)

You will see a small search box, where you can select the factors to find the people you would like to connect with. This can be done via the drop down menu of Job Types, the drop down menu of Locations, or by inputting your own Keyword (such as a company, program style or individual name), or a combination of all three. (fig. 2)

Once completed, hit the blue ‘Search’ Button and your results will appear. You are able to view fellow TV/film production professional’s profiles and send them private messages, or add them as a friend via the Media Match system (provided they have enable so in their <a href=http://www.media-match.com/usa/forum/quick-tips-privacy-settings-585080>Privacy Settings</a>).
