I am about to film my TV show, I need everything! But know nothing. It is a Christian TV show that needs to be great. Heres my question, should I hire a production company or hire moonlighters until I get going? I have a guy who filmes for the outdoor channel and has  some gear to make the show.

Where will it air? Is it a pilot or a pitch piece? Studio or location shoot? All of those questions can influence the answer to your question.

We are putting it on Dish, direct TV, and a bunch of cable companies.

It will be some studio, and some outdoors. and it will be a weekly show.

Well I wish you luck. I've been a multi-camera director for twenty years, and I've launched multiple network shows. It's always a challenge, so I recommend you find the most experienced crew you can afford. Best wishes.

You are always best to get a dedicated and passionate team around your new show. That being said, you want to get pros who have done it before and perhaps mentor a younger team to take over once everything is in place and the format and routines have been established.
