VP, Series Development

About the Job

We are seeking a series development executive to develop half hour comedies for online and traditional distribution. Projects will primarily come from Amazon Studios.

The ideal candidate knows the comedy genre, has development and production experience and wants to work with writers and artists to develop original series for the web and for traditional distribution channels.

Responsibilities
Assess pilot proposals
Work with writers and artists to develop series ideas
Staff, cast and produce pilots in a cost-efficient way
Supervise two Creative Executive’s plus analysts
Supervise series production when series are greenlit

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
4+ years of series development experience, including succesful comedic series development
Preferred Qualifications
Animation experience
Graduate degree in film, law or business
Broad network of writers and artists
Experience with online series development and production
Familiar with filmmaking tools such as Final Cut
Web-savvy: familiar with online video environment
Excellent communication skills
