Show Producer (Freelance) - Digital Media

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Show Producer will be responsible for creating mini sites, videos and products to support History television programming online. This will include project planning and collaborating with the members of the network programming team, creating project requirements, setting schedules, clearly communicating with various departments and external vendors, as well as constant collaboration with other members in the production team. In addition to the collaborative nature of the position, it also requires an ability to work independently by using our CMS system and taking on minor tech and design tasks.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Work with Sr. Site Director, Site Manager and Editorial Director to create
content plans for programming shows and initiatives.
- Create innovative, state-of-the art products to support show initiatives.
- Serve as the lead on projects by clearly communicating project ideas and
goals to fellow producers, designers, developers, and external vendors on
multiple projects.
- Tag all assets with key words and internal faceting system to enhance SEO
- Liaise with external departments (On-Air Programming, Ad Sales,
Marketing, IT, Analytics, PR) and actualize their input.
- Regularly update sites to reflect currency and accuracy.
- Work closely with Site Manager in defining project schedule, business
requirements and content goals to ensure that projects produced on time
and on budget and to spec.
- Work with Topics producers to ensure that appropriate topics are being
covered to supplement the show sites.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills
and ability to successfully handle multiple projects and responsibilities under
pressure.
- Minimum of 2 years overall relevant experience in the industry.
- Experience working within a Content Management System
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS is greatly preferred.
- Self-managed proactive work style.
- Ability to take and process direction
- Experience managing external resources.
- Knowledge of Information Architecture and User Interface Design.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Must be a team-player
- Proven project management skills and successful track record in taking
projects from concept to completion and implement post-launch
maintenance.
- Ability to multi-task a must.
- Ability to adapt to changing goals and priorities
