About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
-Take the lead role in creating powerful visual solutions and producing final assets including; UI, full page layouts, micro-sites, banners, games and logos.
-Turn concepts, wireframes and technical documents into visually compelling and meaningful designs.
-Knowledge of a variety of platforms: web, video, mobile and print
-Understand interactive creative product delivery from concept to completion
-Follow design trends, patterns and bleeding edge innovative web technologies.
-Research and recommend best practices
-Self-sufficiently juggle multiple projects and manage deadlines
-Work an on-call shift once a month.
Qualifications:
-Superior sense of layout, usability, information architecture, typography, attention to detail and overall ability to develop appropriate graphic solutions
-Experience working as the lead designer through a full product development life cycle
-High level Adobe CS5 suite chops
-Good understanding of HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery, and Flash/ActionScript
-An excellent eye for design; you know great web UI when you see it, and can explain why it's great.
-Solid understanding of web technologies and cross-browser development best practices.
-Knowledge of social networking tools and sites required.
-Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
-Drupal experience a plus
Experience:
-5+ years of UI and design experience in web or interactive media production
-Experience launching large-scale websites
-Solid portfolio of web design
