Producer

About the Job

Produce regularly-scheduled newscasts; work closely with members of news staff, production departments to create compelling editorial and visual content; oversee production and writing of newscasts as well as all news special reports or live cut-ins; edit videotape as needed; other duties as assigned by managers.

College degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communication or related field preferred.
Candidate must have strong news judgment; knowledge of broadcast newsroom operations required; must have experience producing live news and have familiarity with control room operations; must possess strong communication and organizational skills; good decision making skills; ability to work closely with others under pressure.

Minimum of one year producing experience required. This is not an entry level position. Knowledge of posting news stories to the web required. Experience with linear and non-linear editing including AVID is a plus.
