Photojournalist

About the Job

Shoot and edit stories on a daily basis for assigned newscasts; run live truck; work with reporters to develop visual and compelling stories; communicate with assignment desk and producers; work with engineering department to maintain camera gear and vehicles; communicate problems and offer solutions to the news director; other duties as assigned by manager.

College degree in broadcast journalism or communication preferred.

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid working knowledge of all aspects of video photojournalism; experience on DVC Pro cameras and editors, microwave live trucks, non-linear editing systems; ability to capture compelling audio and video and produce interesting on-air stories; ability to work well under pressure; strong organizational skills; knowledge of journalistic, legal and ethical standards as related to photojournalism; ability to work in extreme weather conditions; computer proficiency; must have a good driving record and proof of valid driver?s license.
Minimum 1-2 years photojournalism experience in commercial television preferred.
