About the Job
Perform studio and control room production functions. Operate studio cameras; perform functions of floor manager; light sets and change fixtures and lamps; operate teleprompter; rip scripts; assist in live remote productions and electronic field production/ editing; edit promos on weekends and holidays; shoot/edit news video when needed; perform pre-production duties for newscast when needed; set up and strike sets; build, repair, and paint props; maintain good general appearance in the studio and prop room area. Perform all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management as required. EXPERIENCE: Know good picture composition and have some "hands on" knowledge of basic production techniques. Type 30wpm. EDUCATION: High School degree (or equivalency) required. Some college preferred with degree plan geared to "Communications" or "Radio-Television-Film".
