About the Job
Essential Duties:
• Develop, research, produce and write news stories
• Deliver live reports and on-camera work smoothly and clearly
• Report on stories accurately, fairly and clearly
• Shoot video with a digital camera with little to no supervision
• Edit non-linear format tapes
• Work closely with a staff of Reporters and News Photographer as to style and direction of shooting and editing
• Originate news stories by generating sources and bringing original news stories to the table daily.
• Produce story in the field independently.
• Write stories following the essential elements of our news brand
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:

Essential Functions:
• Must be able to write, speak clearly, read, hear and see in order to produce news stories for visual presentation on the air.
• Must be able to work weekends and accommodate shift changes including working extended hours.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds of technical equipment as part of routine duties on reporting assignments.
• Must be able to juggle competing priorities under pressure of daily deadlines.
• Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.
