About the Job
We are looking for an experienced news booker to work on a daily political talk show broadcast out of New York. The ideal candidates will have an existing political rolodex e.g., political and news media contacts, and be comfortable with daily guest booking as a main responsibility.
Candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to research and write questions, call for graphics and brief the host before each interview. Candidates will be expected to read national and local newspapers for updates and topic ideas, provide research on selected topics, and background research on studio guests. The news booker will be responsible for booking at least one guest per night.
This is an excellent career transition for an experienced political staffer seeking a career in media.
At least two years of experience in television/cable industry is preferred.
