THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To plan, organize, activate and control the day-to-day strategy, reporting and executional process within your group while bringing a perspective to strategy development and the execution of digital creative and media plans on behalf of your assigned Client(s). To work with senior staff (traditional Account Management teams, Media and Creative teams) on the planning and implementation of digital advertising and marketing initiatives to serve the Client’s business as needed. This includes the development of digital and social media plans, ground research, the supervision of creative development and production, and campaign effectiveness monitoring. Account Executives are responsible for engaging and activating both internal team members and the Client to maximize effectiveness.
General Duties:
- Manage assigned Client(s) daily digital projects and strategies.
Work directly with traditional Account Management teams for the - inclusion and consideration of digital strategies and tactics in marketing efforts and campaigns.
- Assist in preparation and delivery of presentations to the Client.
- Work with Media Planning and the Account Team in development of annual media plans and campaigns.
- Work with Traffic, Project Management and Creative Teams in the development of timelines, creative materials and digital assets required for campaign implementation. Assure that Client(s) are aware of and understand Agency procedures as well as timelines for new initiatives or projects.
- Monitor production timetables and ensure each milestone is met and addressed, keeping Client(s) and Account Teams apprised of process and time line ramifications.
- Provide accurate direction to planning and buying groups regarding changes in plans per Client direction and approval of Agency proposals/recommendations.
- Ensure all creative has passed through proper approval and legal channels prior to implementation.
- Track weekly and report weekly campaign performance, including: web and media unit analytics, search performance, social platform performance, blogger editorial coverage, and sales/ticket transactions when applicable.
- Provide monthly media updates to Client(s) and Account Team, including media budgets and media calendars.
- Review sponsorship/promotion proposals as well as evaluate and implement added value opportunities.
- Monitor and report competitive actions and/or initiatives.
- Maintain daily contact with internal Account Management as well as other internal departments.
- Keep Account Management informed of Client relations.
- Update weekly status report to keep Agency staff/Client(s) up to date on the status of all projects.
- Participate in weekly status calls/meetings.
- Monitor and Trigger Client/Vendor billing and payments, when applicable.
- Review and be familiar with all contractual agreements with the Client, vendors and other partnerships.
- If applicable, provide accurate direction to Account Coordinators, and assure Account Coordinator/Assistant Account.
- Executive follows Agency procedures and fulfills job responsibilities.
- Participate in training of new employees, when applicable.
- Participate in/attend internal training programs when offered.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent, relevant experience.
- 2-5 years experience as an Account Executive related to interactive and digital campaigns in an advertising or marketing agency.
- Retail advertising experience required.
