We are seeking a recognized motion picture professional to join its faculty in a full-time, renewable position. The specialty is open, but serious consideration will be given to those candidates with significant motion picture industry experience in directing, cinematography, producing/production management, or studio management (physical production). For the right candidate, this position represents a unique opportunity to shape the future of professional education in motion picture production.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a national or international reputation and will possess the skills, background, and temperament to contribute to a new graduate program that aims to rival those of the finest film schools in the country. Responsibilities include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels as well as participation in program administration, curriculum development, and departmental committees.
Bachelor's degree; an exceptional record of professional achievement. Recent college-level teaching experience is preferred. Knowledge of the New York film industry is an asset. A commitment to teaching at a public, urban institution that serves a highly diverse student body is essential.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials.
