JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Sales, is responsible for business development and account management in the Chicago Office. This person manages the Chicago Account Managers and reports to the Director of Sales and Client Services Home Office. In addition to primary responsibility for achieving the Chicago office’s sales goals, the Sales Director will synchronize account management procedures and strategize on marketing messages, programs and materials with appropriate staff. As a member of the management team the Sales Director actively participates in discussions to direct and improve the company.

Sales and Account Team Management





Responsible for achieving overall sales objectives for the Chicago Office
Recruit, hire, manage, train and mentor Account Management team members
Collaborate with Account Managers to develop successful strategies for establishing new accounts and growing existing clients
Qualify and assign new accounts and opportunities to Account Managers
Responsible for business development including networking and prospecting
Plans, organizes and implements Chicago sales programs
Develops and monitors individual Account Mangers performance
Ensure Account Managers comply with internal and account administration procedures including forecasting, invoicing, managing client receivables, CRM, database and internal software systems
Participates in client meetings
Ensures that internal and client post-production evaluation meetings occur after each project
Review and approve all Chicago Account Manager expenses

Sales Leadership





Collaborate with Marketing and field sales leaders to establish standard sales processes for use throughout the company
Implement and ensure compliance with standard sales practices including use of CRM system and use of sales materials
Collaborate with Directors of Marketing, Creative, Production and Operations to ensure that all departments are working together effectively
Serve as the spokesperson for Chicago sales and account management to other departments and offices within the company
Continuously monitors production needs and communicates to Chicago General Manager
Performs special projects as assigned as assigned by Director of Sales & Client Services and/or COO

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: This position requires a minimum of 10 year’s experience in the area of sales and sales management. Proven track record.
