Digital Media Production Assistant

About the Job

Qualifications A Bachelors degree in Communication, Liberal Arts, Video and Multimedia Development, Graphic Development or related equivalent experience, and one year of demonstrated experience in media production and data cataloging required. Demonstrated experience with both Apple-based and Windows-based computer platforms and operating systems is required in order to use media production and management tools. Prefer familiarity with software tools for media cataloging, non-linear video/audio editing, video/audio compression & transcoding, image manipulation, HTML markup, and closed caption production. Proficiency in writing and editing copy for style, consistency, logic and clarity is a plus. Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment, and meet project milestones and established deadlines, within defined budgetary constraints. Duties Assist with and engage in multimedia production activities, including but not limited to: analog and digital media conversions and transcoding, non-linear video and audio editing/polishing, closed captioning authoring for web video, functional deliverables for HTML/web site integration of digital media, as well as cataloging and metadata markup using a digital asset management database, under the supervision of the department manager. Performs various production activities and quality assurance processes specific to the departments video production and media management services. Equal Opportunity Employer
