FOX affiliate in Baton Rouge, La. is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead and manage our engineering dept. You must have an in-depth knowledge of digital and analog technologies as used in a broadcast environment, as well as a good understanding of IT networks, high power UHF transmitters, broadcast equipment and ENG technologies. Will manage the day-to-day technical operations of the station, including, but not limited to FCC Compliance, design installation, and maintenance of on-air broadcast equipment. Will oversee equipment maintenance, management of engineering and master control staff, will prepare and manage expense and capital budgets.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles in television, posses a team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality, an exceptional knowledge and experience with HDTV, MPEG2, automation, ENG, and high power UHF transmitters and a strong IT background.
