About the Job

Calling all creative folks in the Bay Area with mini DV or digital camera interested in building your portfolio! I recently moved to San Francisco from Boston where I was working as a field correspondent for a small production company currently airing shows on public access TV in the Boston-metro area. They have a nice collection of people (all with day jobs) who share an interest in producing news and are working to develop a national netcast news program. While there is no pay currently involved, it is the hope that we will be compensated for shoots in the future as we develop an archive of segments and a following. Currently we have correspondents in Boston, NYC, LA and now SF with more cities coming. I'm thinking of this as a fun project to help me grow my broadcast journalism portfolio and REALLY need the help of those who can accompany me on shoots (think public interest and hyperlocal short news segments) whenever we can work out a time to meet, etc. Lots of room for creative liberty.
