The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving and increasing sales within the visual integration services (VIS) division, which specializes in audio video, broadcast and IT. A strong background in AV and Broadcast is essential.
The BDM is responsible for indentifying, and managing new business opportunities with the Federal Government. This position requires an individual who has a working knowledge and proven successful performance in the Federal Government markets, the procurement and acquisition process, the NAICS codes, FedBiz, GSA Advantage, and INPUT resources. The selected individual must have an established rolodex of mid to senior level decision makers within the Federal Government and strong work-ethics and discipline; from cold-call to follow-up. Specific demonstrable contacts and proven success with in agencies DHS, DOJ, VA and DOD are required.
In this position, you will generate and close sales of VITS among target US government agencies. The main duties of this position will include making calls on new prospects and following up on marketing and sales leads.
Responsibilities:
Achieve annual sales quota, with emphasis on strong quarterly attainment.
Build business strategy to generate short and long-term opportunities for all VITS services.
Provide accurate quarterly sales projections on a weekly basis and keep thorough records of customer interactions.
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Marketing, Communication or Business.
At least 8 years of direct sales experience with proven ability to meet or exceed revenue objectives.
At least 5 years of experience selling information technology to the Federal
Government
Superior knowledge of Federal contract vehicles, programs, and partners.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
