About the Job
• Coordinate US-Domestic field production of news and feature elements for segments and shows across International Production. Service market regions including, but not limited to, Mexico, Argentina, Brasil, and London.
• Work closely with Bureau Reporter, Bristol-based Assignment Desk, and Executive Producers for news content and generating story ideas unique to each market region.
• Schedule and manage execution of interviews, news, and evergreen feature content as necessary.
• Screen and proof scripts as necessary when shooting with Bureau Reporter.
• Take the lead in reacting to regional and local breaking news.
• Manage and develop relationships with teams, leagues, and organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area.
• Ability to function within a studio production environment; previous experience producing a studio show preferred but not required.
• Accurately represent the ESPN brand in the field, providing its viewers with comprehensive news accounts for English and Spanish language SportsCenters, Events, and Studio Shows.
Required Qualifications
• Sound news judgment; solid editing and shooting supervision experience.
• Strong interviewing skills. Requires ability to manage diverse personalities.
• Efficient organizer. Must be detail oriented and a solid multi-tasker.
• Minimum five years experience in a producer-related function.
• Ability to travel, domestically and/or internationally.
• College degree preferred.
• Strong International sports knowledge required.
• Non-linear editing experience a plus.
• Fluent Spanish, oral and written, skills required.
