Skills:
General knowledge in all aspects of television and radio broadcast maintenance required
Working knowledge of broadcast transmitters required
Computer network and server maintenance preferred.
Duties:
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair AM, FM and TV transmitters
Maintain Crispin master control automation and BitCentral Precis newsroom system to include the engineering computer networks
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment used at the studio and transmitter facility
Repairs equipment in remote locations such as transmitters or translators
Responsible for project planning and installation of technical systems as described by their supervisor
Other duties as assigned by manager
Must have valid driver’s license.
Requirements:
High School Diploma with an Associate’s degree in electronics repair or equivalent experience in Broadcast Engineering
Network+ or SBE certification preferred
Harris/Acrodyne/Continental AM, FM and TV transmitter training preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in broadcast television and/or radio maintenance preferred
Experience with master control and newsroom automation required
Additional experience troubleshooting AM, FM and TV transmitters required.
