About the Job
As an Assistant Producer you will work as a team with the On-Air Producer, Live Show Director, Show Host, TV Sales Manager and Live Show Team to execute the brand/show positioning and vision.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Partner with On-Air Producer & Supervising producer to maintain the creative vision of the live show and ensure the execution of the creative sales content and production support.
* Support role of Lead AP when working on key event
* Review all support material listed in the notes.
* Report out (with Producer) feedback on notes.
* Active participation in all prepro meetings. Lead them as necessary when producer can’t be there.
* Meet with the guests and partners to review product and organize the steps they need to take prior to the live presentation; connect them to other teams as necessary.
* Check in with each Show Host and go over production elements along with talking points. (Coordinate timing with On-Air Producer)
* Coordinate the host and the guest meeting to discuss the product demonstrations.
* Coordinate Host walk ons.
* During the live show work closely with the On-Air Producer to make sure all the show needs are met.
* Coordinate show precaps when team is utilizing models.
* Follow up with guests and partners after presentations as necessary.
* Recap live show hours for Television teams and leadership in daily Live Show Status Report.
* Coordinate with Producer on running rehearsals,
* Produce offline tapings as needed
Minimum Requirements:
* 3-5 years experience in Television production
* BA in TV or equivalent experince in related field
* Must be motivated and a self-starter
* Good administrative skills and attention to detail
* Must be able to build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse group of individuals and personalities and work through conflict
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Works well either individually or as part of a team.
* Must be able to comprehend, read, learn, and understand both written and oral instruction.
Preferred Requirements:
* Highly creative
* Proficient in computer programs such as SPT, Retek, Broadcast website, and internet skills.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to duration of shift.
* Must be able to climb stairs in a timely fashion with reasonable accommodations.
