About the Job
Boutique agency specializing in advertising for independent film and television seeks an experienced mid-level AE to manage client communication and production associated with print, outdoor and web advertising.
Meticulous attention to detail, a flair for client relations and a passion for independent film are all required. This is a hands-on role where you will be the main point person for important long-running clients and you called upon to work directly with the creative and account teams to produce first-class advertising. As a boutique our staff wears many hats and you will be expected to carry out the work of a traditional account executive, media planner and buyer and ad trafficker. You will not be supported by the usual agency bureaucracy and therefore will have to multitask and manage many functions to deliver the best possible service for our clients and play a key role in developing our business.
Duties:
• Manage client accounts delivering first-class service to often demanding clients on very short timelines;
• Manage the production of fast-moving advertising which has many moving parts under ever-changing circumstances, working closely with internal teams and juggling multiple projects;
• Plan and recommend media (print, web, broadcast) to clients and build media schedules and budgets;
• Create job schedules and manage internal processes to meet and beat very tight deadlines;
• Closely proof and traffic all advertising through multiple revisions in what is often very detail-oriented and sometimes tedious work;
• Work closely with media to secure the best rates and timelines;
• Develop client accounts into further business using your business development and client relations skills.
Experience required:
• Print, outdoor and web account management in a hands-on environment. Note: you must have working knowledge of planning, reserving and delivering advertising schedules;
• Ad trafficking experience including print and web;
• Film/television advertising agency-side experience would be a big advantage;
• Passion for independent film;
• Networking experience at industry events and a desire to build and grow business delivering the best possible client service;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Proficiency in Mac Microsoft Office including PowerPoint;
• Proficiency in Mac FileMaker;
• Exposure to media planning and buying tools and processes.
