Title: Esmee Denters Is Returning To Do Another Talk On Her Comeback...

We've teamed up with Creative Industry Hub to offer you a 20% discount on tickets to London’s largest, most popular music industry networking night with expert Q&A’s, which is taking place again on the 25th September at the lovely McQueen in Shoreditch...

You may recall that Esmee Denters spoke at our ‘Breakthrough in Music’ event in October 2016 on ‘YouTube in Music’ alongside Kieran Lemon from Room 94. Seeing as Esmee is making her long-awaited comeback, we thought it would be nice to invite her back to talk in more detail on her entire music career to date, and much anticipated return to the music industry…

Dutch vocalist Esmée Denters first came to the public’s attention after she posted video clips of herself singing on YouTube. The videos, featuring Denters singing covers of songs by artists like Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, and others, garnered millions of views and ultimately drew the attention of the music industry.

In 2007, the 18-year-old native of Oosterbeek, Holland, signed with pop star Justin Timberlake’s fledgling Tennman label and began appearing with the “Sexyback” singer on tour. Her debut studio album was released in 2009. She was invited on the Oprah Winfrey show and won an MTV Europe Music Award and the European Border Breakers Award.

Esmée decided to audition for The Voice UK in 2015 after breaking with her record label and being out of the spotlight for a while. She got all 4 coaches to turn for her blind audition. She is getting ready to release a brand new EP this summer including the singles ‘Get Home’ and ‘Motivation’ which were featured on the BBC One show for the FA Cup ‘The Road to Wembley.’

She has over 140 million views on her YouTube channel to date…

Also confirmed to speak is Mark Palmer (Former Managing Director at Roadrunner Records/Current Managing Director at Nuclear Blast Records)

Mark started his Record Label career in 1984 as an office junior at fledgling indie label, 'Music For Nations,' before assuming various roles including label management, A&R and marketing. During this time, he worked on releases by many of the bands from the burgeoning Thrash Metal scene including Metallica, Anthrax, Exodus, Death Angel and Onslaught (who he signed).

After a short tenure at a major label, he was employed by Dutch indie label, Roadrunner Records as 'Label Manager.' Quickly assuming the role of M.D, he spent a very successful 24 years there working an enviable roster of Rock and Metal bands. Notable highs included U.K. number 1 albums for Slipknot and Nickelback and numerous Gold albums for the likes of Machine Head, Sepultura, Slash and Trivium.

After Warner Music closed the Roadrunner UK office in 2012, Mark was hired by German Indie Nuclear Blast to set up their first UK operation. There, he works with a formidable stable of bands including Slayer, Nightwish, Black Star Riders and Sabaton. He has also been reunited with ex-Roadrunner artists such as Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Opeth and Fear Factory.
