Job Posting Date: 10/14/09 Details: JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Must work with master control staff at KHQ-TV
-Develop and implement capital budgets and projects
-Prepare and submit regular reports to management
-Maintain the studio, satellite downlink, STL/TSL microwave links as well as the NTSC transmitter
-Manage technical systems including the design, installation, repair and operation of all the equipment at the KGPX Spokane studio and its analog transmitter
EXPERIENCE /SKILLS REQUIRED:
-Must have a strong maintenance background with 5+ years experience maintaining modern broadcast equipment
-3+ years managing an engineering department
-Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public.
-Must be in good physical condition that will allow you to bend, lift and carry up to 60 lb., climb ladders, pull wire, move parts and equipment or work in and around equipment racks if needed.
-Familiar with current FCC rules and regulations, test and measurement equipment
-Have strong computer and networking skills
-Knowledge of Harris/Louth automation, NTSC, SDI, and MPEG video systems, profile video servers as well as component level electronic troubleshooting, RF & IOT transmitter skills and experience (DCX/IOX preferred) |
