My name is Toni Childs. For whatever it is worth, I am three-time Grammy Nominated recording artist and 2004 Emmy Winner. I'm looking for an editor to edit my music video. I have a single 'One Life' that has just been released in Australia with a new album called, Keep the Faith to follow on the 18th.

I recently traveled around the world in 30 days with a lone cameraman using a high def camera shooting a music video (and some other YouTube projects). We shot footage in Auckland, Sydney, Seim Rep Cambodia, Istanbul, Cairo, Venice, Paris, Brussels, London, NY and LA. The idea was to shoot at Iconic places around the world. The song celebrates our world, and our One Life. I ask people to shine like the brightest star that is you!

I will be looking at the footage for the first time later today. It is all on a hard drives. The cameraman was planning on editing and now he can't. However, he is available to help out since he knows the footage inside out. (see his e-mail below)

In terms of payment I can offer, 50% of Net Profit. As I said, Keep the Faith is being released in Australia this week. And iTunes will do an Video exclusive, not to mention be followed up with a press blast from PR company.

A brief sales history: Australia is my biggest market per capita. My first record, 'Union' sold over 250,000 copies, 'House of Hope' sold over 375,000 copies, and my last album sold over 500,000 copies. The plan is to release the 'One Life' video for purchase on iTunes, and as part of a DVD collection of video's, interviews, etc. The single 'One Life' is already out and getting some play. The album is being released officially two days from now. I leave for Australia to do a concert tour August 30th. We rehearse and do television the first two weeks of Sept in Australia. The actual tour is from Sept 18th - Oct 5th. (So it would be great to have the video out and about before I start touring at the very least... My independent promotion people Kaos Management keep rattling my cage, asking, when it will be done? Yikes!!) I have my first two television appearances on the 8th and 9th. I already have more television appearances booked for this album than any other previously.

In addition, Keep the Faith has been licensed in the US, Canada, Japan and the UK by the Savoy Group, an old blues and Jazz label and it will be released at the end of January with a tour to follow in Feb. We are talking to distributors in Europe now. Europe is my second biggest market. World wide each record sold over 2,000,000 copies.

I'm only telling you this because there is a real chance to make some money on this project. I've included an e-mail from Babak, the cameraman on the project (below). He explains how he can be of assistance to the editing process.

Hi Toni, I just wanted to drop you a note letting you know that if the people who are working on the video need to ask me questions regarding the footage in the next 3 days before my New York job? feel free to give them my info and I also offer at no cost to you or them 2 or 3 days of my time when I come back from NYC to create sub clips from the B-roll footage since I am so much familiar with what I did. essentially most of these clips I can open up and right away know if I need to move right past it or that there are 3 good shots or 2 in it, I than can quickly trim up the pieces within it and put them in the bins where the editor can access them.
This I offer so you know that for one my earlier offer of editing this starting at the end of the month was and is a scheduling issue. but if I can be of any help which I could provide around my NYC job than I am there for you.

I don't think anyone is going to start anything on this for a few days since you need to look at the footage first your self and once they start they can concentrate on your shots only with you picking the parts you want and by the time they start to assemble your pieces I am back from NYC and I can simugtaincly trim up all the b-rolls saving them days of work again since I have a complete map of the footage and where is a B-roll shot that can say something about trees or two fathers and so on not to mention ideas that I had worked into some of the shots and without my pointing it out in that direction they would most likely be lost forever.
