We are looking for a sharp, friendly, and well-organized assistant to manage scheduling and to provide other administrative support. The candidate must have excellent people and research skills, must be organized, possess multi-tasking abilities and a passion for independent film. Solid writing and typing skills, and proficiency on PC are essential. Prior filmmaking and web experience are a plus.
The candidate should possess professional and friendly demeanor, articulate phone manner, basic computer knowledge, and organizational and clerical skills. He/she should have a desire to learn about script writing, development, and producing in the independent film community.
Responsibilities include research on the Internet, reading and evaluation of scripts, follow-up on works in progress as well as scheduling meetings via email and phone, maintaining client relations, and correspondence.
Although the internship is unpaid, it provides a great potential for advancement, an excellent opportunity to build valuable contacts, learn the independent film business, and grow with the company.
