We are looking for a dynamic and energetic Sports Director. You will lead the station's sports coverage, plan for the future, anchor the weeknight sportscasts, plan special sports projects, and mentor others who work in and for the sports department. We are looking for a sports anchor who loves local sports and stays on top of state and national sports, too. Candidate must be able to compliment a veteran news crew, be able to shoot, write, edit, write for web and keep scores updated, report and go live, as needed. You will be producing your own sportscast and will need to help with shooting and editing. Candidate should have a minimum of two years TV Sports Anchor/Reporting experience. DVD or videotape should demonstrate ability to anchor, report, write, shoot, edit, produce, and report live. We are looking for a sports director who communicates well to management, but, who can work, independently, to plan sports projects. A college degree in broadcast journalism or related field is preferred; bilingual Spanish a plus. Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
