Job Posting Date: 11/20/09 Seeking a full-time experienced Short-form Producer for fiction/non-fiction television features, shorts and segments. This would include anything under a 30 minute program.
Responsibilities:
Individual will manage all creative and physical production and post-production aspects of the “shorts” from start to finish including: working with talent, guests, crews, internal staff, editors, graphics, and music.
Responsible for content quality and maintaining the creative vision as well as look and feel of the “shorts” aligned with the company’s vision.
Leads and coordinates internal operations and all necessary paperwork required to ensure timely delivery of each “short”.
Some overnight travel is possible.
Individuals should be sensitive to spiritual issues as they relate to the production of any specific “short”.
Coordinate all production activities relating to the development and creation of programming materials for the network.
Ability to oversee and produce field and studio productions.
Create and propose segment ideas that may further the network’s goals.
Arrange, coordinate, and conduct production meetings as needed.
Knowledge and experience with contemporary production and postproduction resources including: non-linear editing techniques, graphic creation process, cameras, audio posting techniques, various tape formats, remote productions.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Able to juggle many different projects at once.
Oversee the coordination of staff and content.
Schedule edit time, voice-overs, and post production time to insure that air dates are met.
Professional:
Knowledge of methods and techniques used in various phases of high-level media production and postproduction, including HD cameras, shooting, and editing.
