Now seeking a Shooter/Editor to Edit and produces high quality television news, sports and special feature video and sound from a variety of field assignments. Must display creativity and sound judgement in selection of shots. Has thorough knowledge of editing and electronic news gathering equipment. Maintains equipment appropriately. Works cooperatively in field and independently when necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned. Essential job duties include: Gathering breaking news for news shows, Conducting interviews, Edit stories using either linear or non-linear equipment, Edit VO/SOTs and packages assigned by news desk or producers, Driving news vehicles and live trucks; Operating live trucks, setting up microwave signals, running cables, setting up lights and monitors, dialing IFB, and setting up audio and video, Must be able to monitor audio and be able to troubleshoot problems with equipment in the field, Must have ability to meet daily deadlines; Must deal with pressure situations, demonstrate good news judgment, and maintain a good attitude, Keeps appropriate co-workers such as reporters, desk, and producers informed, Displays appropriate news judgment, creativity and good taste in selecting, composing, and recording shots. Uses pans and zooms appropriately to increase viewer interest. Incorporates elements of photojournalism excellence, providing well lit, interesting and varied shots suitable for use in television broadcasting. Strives to shoot sequentially to lessen need for excessive editing. Applies editing skills for stories in daily newscast in an expert fashion for a product that is both visually pleasing and has journalistic accuracy. Send tape and resume.
