Description:
We have a challenging opportunity for the qualified Multimedia Engineer. The person in this role will be responsible for assisting departments in determining technical requirements and recommending equipment for the facility, designing the technical infrastructure, and integrating the three media’s (radio, television and internet) so that they are able to capture, share and output content to the broadcast/multimedia community. The successful candidate will support live uplink operations, studio crew, ENG crew and editing staff. We will look to this Engineer to be proactive and troubleshoot and repair production and transmission issues. This individual will also be responsible for overseeing building of the technical infrastructure, conducting tests, diagnostics evaluations, and executing checklists to discover equipment and/or system anomalies. The person in this role will also document components and integrated systems, as well as to create engineering documents and diagrams. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of both SD and HD technologies as well as technical TV and radio broadcasting equipment (including cameras, VTR’s, NLE’s, video servers, routing equipment, production switchers, video encoders and video compression). The candidate should also have comprehensive knowledge of fiber connectivity and a thorough understanding of PC and Mac hardware and software operations. The person in this role should possess strong troubleshooting skills and have the ability to work independently and quickly in high-pressure situations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Society of Broadcast Engineers Certification is a plus
5 – 10 years of experience working in a multimedia/broadcast facility
