Our department has an opening for a Manager to be responsible for the following:

• Interacting with our Production, Creative and Legal departments on a daily basis by communicating all finance issues for assigned projects.
• Oversee all production finance issues with freelance Line Producers and Production Accountants.
• Collaborate with Production on the hiring and supervision of production accounting staff.
• Communicate and review production’s compliance with established production accounting policies and procedures.
• Review production’s cash flow schedule and monitor to ensure productions are adequately funded.
• Review production cost reports and other weekly/monthly deliverables. Follow up with weekly/monthly conference calls with production executive and production accountant to discuss production cost reports.
• Monitor production’s estimated final cost and ensure production is not over funded.
• Ensure funding and DC paid expenses are properly recorded in the production general ledger.
• Coordinate wrap and turn over of production accounting to post production accounting firm.
• Manage post production accounting firms engaged for assigned projects.
• Obtain preliminary production budgets, review for adherence to budget submission guidelines and supply budget comments to production department.
• Ensure payments are properly approved and that production company contracts are executed or legal approval obtained prior to the start of funding.
• Ensure payments are correctly recorded in SAP.
• Ensure all production and financial information is properly entered on payment recaps.
• Coordinate pre-buy of foreign currency with corporate treasury if necessary.
• Coordinate tax credit administration, if applicable, for assigned productions.
• Assist BA/Legal with review of production finance issues with regard to production service agreements.
• Plan and perform cost verification and operational audits.

Job Requirements:
• 5 years of accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in field production accounting experience
• Supervisory experience is required to manage off-site production accountants
• Analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PSL, Vista and/or MediaWin (production accounting software)
• Final candidate must be a self-motivated, creative, and independent thinker. Further, they should be meticulous, organized, proactive, possess the ability to multi-task.
• Management-level written and verbal communication skills are also a must.
• 4 year Bachelor’s degree is required
