1. Responsible for the over-all management and functionality of the station website, and all other assigned New Media platforms, such as cell phone, podcasting and digital channel applications.
2. Responsible for creating and managing internal systems and processes to keep the website up-to-date, current, and competitive with local news and information (text and video) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
3. Daily maintenance of station website and implementation of new content and applications.
4. Thoroughly optimize all pages and sections of the website for search and perform SEO and SEM site maintenance duties.
5. Track monthly analytics to include “standard” web, advertiser and video statistics.
6. Work closely with all departments in a collaborative manner to support their needs on the web, including News, Creative Services and Sales.
7. Must attend weekly Sales meeting. Also participate in sales calls as needed.
8. Conceptualize and create new content areas on the website and manage others engaged in similar assignments.
9. Work with site partners and advertisers to create and maintain web content, including the incorporation, insertion and maintenance of advertiser creative and video commercials into the respective site areas/systems. Some design of advertiser creative may be required.
10. Troubleshoot any and all problems that may develop with the website.
11. Manage New Media staff.
12. Prepare work schedules for New Media staff.
13. Write and deliver performance evaluations of New Media staff.
14. Responsible for the development and management of the New Media Department budget.
15. Perform other duties as needed and as directed by the General Manager.
Requirements:
Education: College degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience: 3+ years of comprehensive website experience required.
Skills/Abilities: Looking for a strong well-rounded web producer/designer. Must be able to multi-task and meet daily deadlines. Working knowledge of HTML, Flash, ASP.Net, DreamWeaver, JavaScript, Adobe Photoshop, and FTP Programs required.
License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance.
