Puppet/Character TD

Creates animation controls and surface deformations simulating an organic surface quality which is influenced by an underlying skeletal and muscular
system. Creates creatures and characters that are accurate, detailed and easily controlled by animators.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with the production team to create the desired animation controls and deformation qualities for an object or character.

Pro-actively participates in making design and animation control solutions.

Monitors effectiveness of animation controls and deformations; makes adjustments as necessary throughout the production.

Create and maintain studio wide solutions for character and animation pipeline.

Takes direction from team and show lead.



QUALIFICATIONS
Two to three years experience in CG animation setup in a production environment.

Knowledge of Autodesk/Alias Maya preferred.

Thorough understanding of CG deformers & rigging solutions.

Thorough understanding of anatomy & physiology.

MEL scripting and/or API programming experiences preferred.

Strong problem solving skills.

Must be able to work in a team, with strong communication skills & attention to detail, and able to take direction in a fluid, fast-paced production environment.
