Job Posting Date: 11/17/09 I have a shoot coming up for one of my clients who is a national charter school foundation. They are having a special education needs themed retreat for teachers from all across the country. I am documenting presentations and meeting sessions throughout two days but they are simultaneous sessions that need to be covered by a second person. I am looking for someone who is technically savvy and enjoys shooting documentary/reality style hand-held footage.
These sessions range from medium size audiences to smaller more intimate round table or around a campfire type discussions. So this means I need someone who feels comfortable going hand-held and being stealthy by floating around a group or room filled with people. The idea is to film hand-held confidently with strong anticipation for moments of important dialogue and sound bites while maintaining aesthetically pleasing framing. Basically making the meeting no matter how boring it might be interesting to watch. I am creating an online archive of the retreats sessions for teachers who missed the retreat and for future reference.
This is not for TV or the big screen but rather for educational purposes. This foundation is world renown and depending on the wording could make for a good resume addition if desired. Shoot is in Newark! Friday 11/20 (12:30pm to 5pm) RATE: $200/full day plus rentals Saturday 11/21 (8:30am Sharp! to12pm & 2pm to 4pm) RATE: $200/full day plus rentals If you have a reel or online examples of camera work please forward, a resume is cool too but since this is referral based it is not a complete concern over needing to see some examples of work online. If you have your own HD (p2, XD or HDV) camera package and any wireless lav mics please let me know. Having your own gear is not a deciding factor but a plus since I am flying form LA and the less equipment I need to bring the better. There are extra rental funds if some or all is available. Travel from NY to Newark will be covered but cheap train rides are preferred. The rate is low but moderate, this is the best I could uncompress their already tight budget to since they are non-profit. |
