Applicant will assist news producers in putting their programs together. Responsibilities include writing news stories; directing the editing of video taped stories for broadcasts; logging video feeds, as well as preparing and posting stories for the web. Some field producing, as well as other tasks, may be assigned. The associate producer will also be called upon to produce newscasts as needed. The position requires the ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure The candidate should have 2-3 years producing/writing experience in a small to medium market. Strong writing skills are essential. All candidates will be given a writing test. A bachelors degree is required.
