Sobre el trabajo
Sweeting Independent Films (www.sweetingmedia.com) is looking for interns interested in storyboarding feature length scripts of various genres. Intern will help by collaborating with the director to create a high quality storyboard. Hand drawing, watercolor, oil, tablet computer drawing, and pen and ink artistic styles are welcome. Storyboards will have a consciousness of visual story telling, that show development of artistic elements throughout the story, and internship involves teaching of how to do that.
Original artwork will be in a widescreen format that is acceptable for camera direction on screen. Not a fast-paced environment, no errand running, is creative work rather than office work, and a chance to collaborate with other artists. There is a well structured progression to a final storyboard, with the bulk of meeting time spent in collaborative brainstorming and break down of the scenes, with time during the week to complete your assignments which is designed to build off what you learned in school.
Meetings will be done over Skype, so you should have high speed internet, a microphone, and webcam. Help with setting up video conferencing account is provided, Skype is free, and if you have a Mac with a camera than you certainly can video conference). Visual breakdown meetings are about 1 hour, once a week, and openings are on Mondays (8am -9, 9:30 -10:30. 11- 12, 1:30 – 2:30, and 3 -4 California time). Internship in full runs 6 months. This is a part time internship so the meeting is for direction, and the other 19 hours a week outside of meeting time should be dedicated to completing assignments.
