About The Job
Objective:
Curate and manage online content on the Arts Gateway, sourcing new and managing existing content, increasing audience social networking participation and fostering working relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
•
• Curate and manage the selection and publishing of new and existing content for the Arts Gateway in line with ABC TV priorities. Produce content and provide editorial and creative direction to designers and developers as required.
• Develop and foster strong working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders including galleries, artists, educational institutions, ABC Open, Local, Radio National, Pool, ArtPost and on-air programs teams. Manage stakeholder expectations and website participation rates, engaging and encouraging galleries and other target groups to increase their input and contributions to the Gateway.
• Develop and expand levels of online audience interactivity around the arts across various platforms. Measure and report on online engagement, social networking participation and user activity levels.
• Manage and direct a team of producers, overseeing their output and production of high quality relevant content for the Arts Gateway.
• Identify key goals and digital marketing strategies for arts content.
• Develop, roll out and coordinate time critical marketing and social media campaigns across multiple platforms
• Develop and maintain a high level awareness of digital industry developments, social media applications and new production methods, training staff as required. Ensure that content produced for the Arts Gateway is relevant and up to date with industry standards.
• Participate in or manage projects as required.
• Advocate and apply ABC values and all relevant ABC policies and procedures including Editorial Policies, Equity & Diversity and OH&S.
Selection Criteria:
1. Extensive knowledge of and a demonstrated understanding of the arts. Experience and participation in arts communities & content development an advantage.
2. Demonstrated online curatorial skills to prioritise and organise arts material.
3. Demonstrated ability in content production with superior editorial skills and judgement. Proven ability to develop and produce accessible and relevant content and a demonstrated creative approach to content construction and delivery.
4. Solid track record in developing and maintaining professional internal and external stakeholder relationships.
5. An ability to develop strategies for increasing levels of engagement of online audiences across multiple platforms.
6. Demonstrated familiarity with content management systems, publishing tools/techniques for website creation and video publishing. Understanding of design usability and accessibility principles.
7. Proven ability to manage a team under limited supervision. Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. Proven team player.
8. Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
9. Demonstrated high level project management skills, analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgements.
10. An understanding of and commitment to relevant ABC policies and practices, including Editorial Policies, Corporate Equity & Diversity Policies, OH&S, and their relevance to online development.
